Title: Rose In Repose | Medium: Oil on canvas
Muted colors with pink, sage-green and gold suggest relaxation and rejuvenation. Using thin washes I built up the layers of this painting where I wanted more intensity and detail while keeping other areas washy and light. The open white areas of canvas convey a lot of light and keep it feeling spontaneous. This painting is done in a watercolor style using oil paint.
