This watercolor of a striped rose in red and white is inspired by my fascination with patterns and stripes. While out walking I'd stumbled on a treasure trove of rose bushes in Laguna Beach that were all striped with red, white, pink and yellow. There were loads of blossoms in different color combinations and it was so inspiring. I can hardly wait to create more with this same inspiring material.
