The feathery fronds of the Russian kale plant are the inspiration for this work of art that celebrates the varied shapes that can be found in the vegetable garden. The softly upward reach of this kale variety and its red veins made for a particularly interesting study. Each plant has its own personality and this one appeared to me as strong but soft-spoken.
