INDIAN BLANKET is a bold pattern with vivid colors and purposeful lines that was inspired by Native American Indian blanket design. Movement is the signature of this design, so if you like to dance, wear it as you do so with your heart on fire in my colorful tribute to the indigenous peoples of the Americas and all the lands of this planet. If we're claiming our human-ness, and hopefully we can, our origins, no matter who we are, are indigenous. Our human tribe goes way back and our DNA tells the winding story of our familial past. Once upon a time, we all lived close to the earth in ways that may now seem foreign to us. To indigenous peoples, the earth is sacred and a supreme inspiration for their creations. It’s easy to connect with the beauty of American Indian art because it can speak directly to the soul. It touches us at a level that longs for connection with the spirit of the earth as our common ancestral home. Earth is our common mother. We must all honor her, for it is our physical nature, health, and wellbeing on every level that depends on it.
