Rose Leaves After Rain

Title: Rose Leaves After Rain | Medium: Watercolor on paper
April showers inspire watercolor paintings. My front garden in Laguna Beach was the inspiration for this painting after a rare and heavy downpour. Water clung to thirsty rose leaves and became large sparkling droplets. As I looked closely at the scene in front of my house I felt drawn into the kaleidoscope of abstract shapes and colors that had formed on the leaves. How may different greens could there be? I think an infinite number.
