ANGELIQUE TULIP

Featured in the NY Times during an exhibit at the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey, I was honored to participate in the show "Montclair Artists, Then and Now" with artists like George Innes being then, and my contemporaries and I being now. Angelique Tulip is a painting I created when I was experimenting with acrylic on large gessoed board. This piece was inspired by tulips growing in my garden at the time. With so many ruffles and interesting color variations, I had to create at least one painting of an Angelique tulip. I chose this mandala-like composition and worked the colors up in successive layers. A limited number of very fine giclee prints on heavy watercolor paper, four-sided deckled edge are available.
